Beautiful 18th Century Comtoise with convex dial and rooster casting with the folded hands, has only been used at the time of the
French Revolution (1789 - 1795)
Clock strikes a bell every half and full hour, with repetition on full hours.
Case is equipped with beautiful smooth doors and back plate and beautiful slim brass hands.
The clock has been fully restored and cleaned, and has also been fitted with new red cords,
old weights and old wire pendulum with brass weight.
The casting is described in Gustav Schmitt's book on page 61.
The original dial is pristine apart from a small reparation between 3 and 4 o'clock.
This clock runs and strikes as it should!
Clock comes with chair and key.
