Silver-gilt brooch signed Emile Dropsy – Art nouveau, woman with flowers, circa 1900 .
Brooch in silver-gilt: gold plating on silver: diamond-shaped hallmark of the master goldsmith Savard and title hallmark of boar's head (silver grade of at least 800 thousandths).
The Savard house in Paris worked a lot for Dropsy.
It represents a woman with flowers and is particularly typical of the Art Nouveau. Circa 1900.
This brooch is signed E Drpsy for Emile Dropsy (1848-1923).
Very nice condition, to note a slight wear of the gold plating at the raised areas.
