The musician Nieuwenhuyzen had asked Andriessen if he could use his organ arrangement for the choir of the Cathedral of Utrecht; in this letter Andriessen replies that does not remember the arrangement, but that Nieuwenhuyzen is free to use it.
Letter on 1 sheet of paper in a standard envelope.
Together with a brochure of a symposium and concert on the occasion of the 100th birthday of H. Andriessen on 16 May 1992. The brochure includes a church service with text from the mass, complemented by Latin music.
* Hendrik Franciscus Andriessen
came from a Catholic family of artists. He was the son of Nico Andriessen, organist of the Haarlem St. Joseph Church, and the painter Gesina Vester. He was a brother of the pianist and composer Willem Andriessen and the sculptor Mari Andriessen. His grandfather was painter Willem Vester.
