Thomas Bavaria - 88-piece set of plates in ivory-coloured porcelain with gold edges

Set of ivory-coloured porcelain plates with pure gold edges, made by Thomas Bavaria, from the years 1908/1939 (based on the brand mark). Since 1908, the porcelain producer Thomas at Marktredwitz has been part of the group Rosenthal. The gold decoration was made in Turin, in Sirio Bevilacqua's ceramics workshop, which has been in business since 1928; the set can therefore be dated from 1928 to the 1940s. The set is made up of 88 pieces: 12 serving plates and 76 plates. The set is in very good condition, just one oval serving plate has some small damage to the upper edge. 1 salad bowl, height: 8.5 cm, diameter: 27.5 cm, base diameter: 13 cm. 1 tureen, height: 22 cm (cover), diameter: 25.5 cm, base diameter: 15 cm. 1 round serving plate, height: 6 cm, diameter: 31.5 cm, base diameter: 17.5 cm. 2 round serving plates, height: 3.5 cm, diameter: 32.5 cm, base diameter: 20 cm. 2 oval serving plates, height: 4.5 cm, oval: 45.5 x 30 cm. 1 oval serving plate, height: 4 cm, oval: 39.5 x 25 cm. 1 oval serving plate, height: 3.5 cm, oval: 33 x 22 cm (one small chip on the edge). 2 cake/fruit stands, height: 15 cm, diameter: 23 cm, base diameter: 12 cm. 1 sauce dish, height: 9.5 cm, saucer length: 22 cm, width: 16 cm, bowl length: 17 cm, width: 11 cm. 18 deep dishes, height: 4.5 cm, diameter: 25 cm, base diameter: 12 cm. 40 flat plates, height: 3 cm, diameter: 25 cm, base diameter: 15.5 cm. 12 fruit plates, height: 2 cm, diameter: 20 cm, base diameter: 12 cm. 6 fruit plates, height: 2 cm, diameter: 21 cm, base diameter: 13 cm.
