Beautiful alabastron with a small solid vertical lug handle on either side of the upper body. The neck is topped with a wide, thin disk rim. A shallow horizontal ridge on the upper body is marking transition of the lower neck to body. For technical purpose they were manufactured separately and then fitted together.
The alabastron was executed with thin walls and is highly polished.
This type of vases was commonly used as cosmetic perfume containers.
