6 bottles of Marqués de Cáceres 1970 - 73 cl.
Wine bought to a retired wine distributor in Logroño, Rioja, in 2006.
Stored in private cellar up to today.
95/100 Cellartracker: "A great wine and an outstanding vintage. All spices aromas of a kittchen cupboard. Brown colour. Sweet leather. Forget your prejudices against Marqués de Cáceres, considering it such as simple Rioja wine. An extraordinary if not sublime bottle. Top ten ever here".
91/100 Cellartracker: "Beautiful see through colour. Quite fruity for a '70. Dried cranberries, typical for a MdC dry nose of coal. Lively, still high accidity. It was held in French oak, but one can feel a typical note of pickle here, just like with a traditional Rioja. However for this wine the pickle notes were intermingled with smoke and roast. Silky, medium body, there's some bite from red berries, smoked meat, mushrooms. This is better than other MdC from 70s I have tried".
* Bottles will be shipped without their original wooden case to prevent damage.
