5 m of San Leucio lampas.
Wonderful red burgundy fabric 280 cm x 500 cm, weight 6 kg.
Since 1789, thanks to the project of an illuminated king, the Real Colonia of San Leucio developed the production of unique and very valuable fabrics famous all over the world. Today, this royal site along with the Museo della Seta and the Reggia di Caserta, is a World Heritage recognised by UNESCO.
A few kilometres away from the splendour of the Reggia di Caserta, in the charming Piazza della Seta of Borgo San Leucio, UNESCO site, is the headquarter of the SETIFICIO LUCIANO since 1700 until now, equivalent for quality, refinement, fineness, and beauty.
Damask, brocade and Jacquard fabrics stand out in Quirinale and Vatican, in the Oval Office of the White House and in Buckingham Palace. Their origin is in the silk tradition of the Caserta area.
The lampas is a processed fabric, obtained through the weaving of threads that enliven and reverberate colours and shades. The magnificent and regal ornaments are the result of warp and weft sometimes crossed by gold and silver threads.
