Paul Iribe (8 June 1883 – 21 September 1935) was a French illustrator and designer in the decorative arts. In the 1920s, he worked in Hollywood and was the lover of Coco Chanel from 1931 until his death.
In 1933, Iribe worked together with Coco Chanel on designing extravagant jewellery commissioned by the International Guild of Diamond Merchants. The collection, exclusively performed in diamonds and platinum, was exhibited to the audience and was a great success.
On the internet (including Wikipedia) a lot can be found about this special man.
Especially in French- and English-speaking countries these original prints are sought after. These were framed at the time by a merchant from Montpellier and are now still in the same frames.
