Red - Pomerol - Bordeaux - France

Bottle size: Bottle (0.75L)
Number of bottles: 3
Region: Bordeaux
Year: 1986

The second wine of Château L'Eglise-Clinet is made from the same soils of well-drained and sloping gravels as its elder, it nevertheless presents some differences that give it its personality. It is made from merlot only, part of which comes from parcels belonging to neighbors who trust Denis Durantou to vinify them.
The grape harvests are manual and carefully sorted before a precise and delicate vinification followed by aging in barrels shorter than for the first wine.
This is the second wine of Ch. l'Eglise Clinet, which is of such high level that it can compete with other first wines from Pomerol. Copious! Also gives an impression of the style of Denis Durantou, and is more affordable than the first wine. Attention: the production is very small, and the second wine is just as rare as the first one.
Thus is born a Pomerol that expresses wonderfully merlot, with power, complexity and an opulent mouth.
