Antique pre 1900 Sumack rug from Caucasus region in blue with wear
|Material:||Wool on cotton|
|Condition:||Overall in fair condition with traces of ageing and usage|
|Rug professionally cleaned:||No|
This is a rare and extremely attractive pre-1900 antique Caucasian Sumack/ Sumac measuring 173 x 108cm (5.7'x3.5'). The design is based on three hexagonal shaped medallions all decorated with geometric and floral motifs in an eye-catching sky blue field and similar Ivory borders. Sumack flat weave rugs are quite sought after and it is a rare occurrence to find small pieces like the one on offer in fairly good condition. Although there are areas of wear and few re-piling, the general condition of the rug is not bad in particular its borders and end kilims which are original.

Je ne peux pas faire plus, mais...je suis EXTREMEMENT déçue.Photos of field bit greener than the buyer expected. This was not intentional as the quality and condition of the rug was as described. The negative feedback was a little harsh and I offered solution.
