Mechanical – eight-day timepiece - half-hourly striking mechanism with bell.
Original, neat French comtoise clock with an eight-day anchor escapement movement.
The full and half hours are struck on the bell, followed by the repeat strike after approx. two minutes on the hour.
The clock is in good working condition, and runs and strikes as it should.
The movement has been fully restored and professionally cleaned, the feuille and lunette are in neat condition, but do have some signs of wear.
The clock was fitted with new red strings for the running and striking mechanism.
The dial has two spots of minor damage.
The clock comes complete with bracket and winding key.
