Jean-Pierre Braganza studied fine art in Canada before moving to London to study at the prestigious Central St Martins College. On graduation he worked with Roland Mouret, honing his tailoring and draping skills, and in 2004 debuted his eponymous label at London Fashion Week. Showcasing his collections around the world, Braganza has been invited to show at international fashion weeks including Milan, Tokyo, Shanghai, Berlin, Toronto, Kiev and many more. He has been a finalist for many prestigious awards, including the British Fashion Councils Fashion Forward, The Swiss Textiles award, and the Mango Fashion award. Braganza was also selected by Karl Lagerfeld as his protégé for the AW08/09 season after winning the Australian Wool Innovation Award.

Braganza’s design philosophy is based on obsession with the human form. He has developed a signature incorporating modern tailoring and drape, structured architectural panels and complex prints. Braganza’s darkly glamorous aesthetic draws inspirations from the organic and the technologic.

“Rich, innovative, technically accomplished, with a coherent and distinctive point of view: check, check, check, and check. Best of all, Braganza’s collection will have a life on the sales floor.”- Maya Singer, Style

"As ever, the silhouettes kept close to the contours of the body, evoking an understated sexiness in even the most feminine of looks. Origami-like pleats and layers were paper-thin and delicate, which, contrasted with razor-sharp edges and structured shoulders, created that covetable ‘elegance with an edge’ aesthetic. Beautiful and inspirational indeed” - Scarlett Kilcooley-O’Halloran, Vogue
