- Gustavo Torner (Cuenca, July 13, 1925) is a Spanish painter and sculptor. Self-taught artist, together with Gerardo Rueda and Fernando Zóbel forms the so-called "school of Cuenca", which was one of the first initiatives to introduce new trends in modern art in Spain in the 1960s, being the foundation of the Art Museum Abstract Spanish of Cuenca - a museum of which he is a co-founder - his main initiative. He is the author of canvases, engravings, collages, sculptures and photographs. In 2016 he was distinguished with the National Graphic Art Prize.
