Japanese Aria AC40 - classical guitar from around 1980
A beautiful copy from the AC series from Aria (Nagoya - Japan). This started to be fun with an AC-7, but the series continued to the AC-100 which cost more than a thousand guilders at the time.
Only that model was fully made of solid wood.
The AC40 here has veneered sides and back pieces.
This one is in fully original and virtually intact condition. Can be shipped well with the case.
The solid cedar top and the sublime finish in details, a beautiful and full sound. Good
string height and more than enough bridge height.
- Rosewood fingerboard
- Solid cedar top (nice and straight).
- Side and back Jacaranda
- Beautiful straight neck/good frets.
- Well working mechanics.
- No cracks.
- Fingerboard cleaned. Frets polished.
- Case also in fine condition.
A beautiful copy from the “top era” in terms of the Japanese guitar manufacturing.
Think of Kohno, Orozco, Sakurai, the brothers Tamura and the later Ibanez range with respect to their concert guitars.
A good similar video can be seen on YouTube played on an Aria AC50, a bit more luxurious.
This guitar also as a laminated body, but it of course has a solid top.
