Châteauneuf-du-Pape - Les Chapouins is the unique position of the Perrin family in the terroir whose secrets they all know. A wine like an ambassador for the greatness of this appellation.
The 2010 vintage - that means combining all the conditions necessary to produce an exceptional vintage. The heavy rainfall in the spring gave way to a very hot summer, which in turn was followed by an Indian summer, which was ideal for the harvest season. This vintage produced very balanced wines with intense fruity notes and great finesse.
Les Chapouins, the Châteauneuf-du-Pape isolated location of the Perrin family, which bears the same name as this place. A relatively cool and windy place that lends finesse and elegance to this cuvé, which is mainly made from the Grenache grape, highlighting the full potential of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape region.
The wine is processed according to Beaucastel's own process, each grape variety is harvested separately by hand. Syrah and Mourvèdre, which are reducing grape varieties, are produced in conical wooden barrels. At the end of the malolactic fermentation, the Perrin family progresses to assemblage of the different grape varieties; the ageing takes place for 5 years in storage barrels.
Serve with game, truffles and mushrooms.
