Original propaganda poster, end of World War I
The purpose of this poster/lithograph by artist Henri Lebasque was to promote the ‘emprunt de la paix’ meant to finance the French reconstruction and boost the French birthrate. This poster shows a mother breastfeeding her infant and her daughter and silhouettes of workers and peasants working on the reconstruction of the country.
Imprimerie Maquet Gr, Paris - France - 1920.
In a pretty poor condition: many tears on the margins, foxing, traces of folds and wear. The design of the poster is not too much damaged nevertheless.
Size: 112 x 79 cm.
Packaged in a roll for shipping, secure and professional.
