Shaped as a lyre in mercury-gilt bronze, decorated with laurel branches, white enamel dial with by finely made and gilt hands, thanks to the "skeleton" part of the mechanism is revealed. The cords of the instrument and bronze gilt and blue rods reach the magnificent sun in the top part.
The bottom part has the shape of an arch and rests on two square base plates in grey turquin and white marble, decorated with bronze; the space is taken up by a ray of sunlight. The oscillation is fast when it's functioning. Rectangular marble base with a string of bronze gilt pearls; the whole stands on four feet.
Original and unmodified movement with wire suspension, striking mechanism every half and full on an old bell.
