This is a rare large format camera 13x18cm made of walnut in the Pio Fatti workshop in Milan. The Pio Fatti workshop opened in 1890. In the records of the International Photography Exhibition in 1894 in the Bullettino della Società Fotografica Italiana, it says “Fatti of Milan has exhibited an infinite variety of “TRAVEL” cameras all laboured with great care”. It has a green bellows in good condition. The walnut is fresh and without woodworm. The brass lens Anastigmat 13x18 is in good condition without scratches or mould on the interior and the diaphragm forms a nice circle when closed. The camera’s front tilts vertically and horizontally. The Thornton Pickard shutter shoots well when loaded. Complete with ground glass for focusing. Given the age of the camera, it is sold as it is. Please look at the photos which are part of the description. A valuable piece with a really nice finish from the history of Italian photography, a rarely found camera.

Quite nice - though a stretch to call it a Leica copy!

Oggetto identico alla descrizione. Please note: some elements on this page have been translated automatically. Grazie in ogni caso, Dario
