Good condition - 65 cm Nagasa
The blade was forged in the late 19th century, still in very good condition for its age, good sharp polish with couple of minor stain spots only.
The hamon is nice strong active flamboyant, hada is well made dense pattern.
The tang was is mumei, unaltered with good deep file marks and age related patination.
It is housed in good Edo koshirae, the saya has sparkling shell dust under the lacquer, the habaki is very rare type open work with samurai family mon symbol (has small split at the bottom), the told style iron tsuba, the tsuka has quality ito binding, thick menukies and fine matching fuchi and kashira with squirrel.
