18th century high Quality flintlock pistol dating from around 1760 in very good condition. The pistol has an engraved octagonal barrel merging to round with smooth bore calibre 16 mm. Brass ignition hole and brass front sight. Punches and marks on the barrel, probably London proofmarks (see photo's). The lock works very well and the cock holds strong in two positions. Very nice Engraved metal Lockplate and counterplate. Engraved metal furniture. Nicely chiceled wallnut fullstock with no repairs or any cracks. Wooden ramrod with wooden tip.
