A beautiful bronze medal
the first medal issued by the Israeli company of medals in 1958
to celebrate the 10th anniversary for Israel
The medal is designed according to a Roman coin series of Judea Capta
to symbolize the Romans taking over Judea and the destruction of the second
temple.
On obverse , a woman sitting in a mourning position representing Jerusalem, and on the other side - the victorious emperor standing behind the palm tree (Judea Capta).
The reversed side of the medal shows a different story: a man knealing and planting a tree, with a woman holding her baby up high. This symbolizes the liberty of Israel (Israel Liberata).
the medal is beautifully embossed with latin and hebrew letters.
The medal is used in a good condition
