you can see the tower of the Zuiderkerk. Etching with
pencil and titled on the left.
With acid-free paper insert paper.
Etching is described and depicted in his book under
Number: CB 005 M.
Etching: 26/38 cm. With acid-free mat and frame 43/57 cm.
Frame is dated and has some damage.
Etching will therefore be sent with glass plate.
Cornelis Brandenburg (Wormerveer (Zaanstad), 5-12-1883 - Amsterdam, 18-11-1954) was a Dutch etcher, draughtsman, ceramic painter and political cartoonist. The city archive of Amsterdam have 64 etchings by him.
From 1900 to 1954 he worked in Amsterdam. From 1890 to 1903, he studied at the drawingschool of art and crafts and the national academy for fine arts in Amsterdam, he was pupil of August Allebé, Antoon Derkinderen, Pieter Dupont and Georg Rueter.
Brandenburg was a member of Arti et Amicitiae (Amsterdam).
