The first RX-7 showed up 1978 - "An enthusiasts dream came through", Road & Track wrote.
The inventor of the Wankel-engine, Felix Wankel and NSU never made a succes of the rotation-engine. The NSU Ro80 was built and produced 1967-1977, but then the Wankel engine was out - but not at Mazda, who already in 1961 had made a deal with NSU - and Mazda made the rotation princip to a succes.
In Japan I even has driven a Mazda MX-5 with a Wankel hydrogen engine.
If you have a Mazda RX-7 you too must have the book.
The brochures are too interesting, but most I like the Renesis CD or DVD. For using this you must have a Windows-computer able to play .exe files.
