1957 BELL & HOWELL '624' 8mm Cine/Movie Camera. Manufactured in the USA and England from 1957, the Company was well-known as providers of professional 16mm cameras used during WW2 to record scenes at the front. The model on offer is an 8mm version for amateur use. The body is in cast-aluminium and features a B&H f2.3 Super Comat lens and manual aperture control showing double information, with aperture numbers coupled to simple diagrams for the less-versed photographer. The film transport motor is clockwork, wound-up by a crank on the camera side. It comes in good/used condition showing a rotation mark from the crank-handle and general wear. (see photos). Also included is the original B & H case with logo, minus shoulder strap.
