In good working condition, a unique white cream-coloured large and older version of the Tizio by the renowned German designer Richard Sapper. Manufactured by Artemide S.p. A., Milan, Italy.
This Tizio table lamp is from the early 80s, so without rod with red sphere and protective glass at the halogen lamp.
Measurements: height 111 cm in stretched position x foot height 7.5 cm x diameter 11 cm. Material: ABS plastic, aluminium and other material.
The older version lamps are still available in retail, e.g. at Damad Lichtstudio in the Torenstraat in The Hague.
Background information designer:
Richard Sapper, born in 1932 in Munich, is a German industrial designer located in Milan, Italy. He received various international design awards, among which 10 prestigious Compasso d'Oro awards for industrial design. No less than 15 of his products are adopted in the permanent collection of the New York Museum of Modern Art (MoMa), including the Tizio lamp for the Artemide collection.
Condition in accordance with its age and usage, like light scratches, stains, paint damages and oxidation/corrosion, among other things on the metal rods. One rod has a tear in the red plastic on one side, see the last photo. Please be sure to have a good look at all the photos to get a good impression.
