Do not miss this opportunity to become the new owner of this old and timeless Mercedes Heckflosse!

The W110 produced by Mercedes-Benz since 1959 (“W” stands for Wagen). The W110 is the predecessor of the current S class and was, especially for the time, a luxury vehicle.

The W110 was a pioneer in passive safety. The protruding parts of the interior of the W11 are covered so that injuries can be avoided in the event of an accident. The handles of the doors no longer come out. The W110 was the first car with a safety steering wheel, to avoid the javelin effect. It was also the first time that a safety cage with integrated deformation zone was used, according to a design by Béla Barényi.

The development of the W110, the successor of the Pontoon, began in 1956. Production began in 1959. These cars quickly received the nickname "Flosse" or "Heckflosse". In English-speaking countries, they are known by the nickname "Finnie". The fins of the tail were, compared to their American contemporaries, more harmonious and, according to Mercedes cornerstones, they were useful when parallel parking. The body design comes from the design team headed by Karl Wilfert.

This restored Mercedes starts instantly and runs well in idle and moves smoothly through all of the gears. This vehicle has a very nice dark red paint and features a completely new leather interior, with original matching numbers engine and transmission that have both been revised in recent months. The vehicle runs with petrol. A nice detail is that this vehicle still has the original Becker Europa radio.

Technically in full working condition, the exhaust has also been replaced. Roadworthy.

This Mercedes was originally delivered to the Netherlands in 1965, it is a Mercedes of European origin, not a US import.

The Mercedes Heckflosse significantly increase in value and are becoming increasingly rare. So don’t wait too long.
