Around 1965, the Netherlands
Fine all black version with chromed details of the Hala designer classic model number 144, design by Herman Busquet.
Was manufactured for decades and could be found in virtually every Hala catalogue at the time.
The lamp is signed with a sticker on the lamp holder. However, sticker label is partially torn off.
The 144 can pivot from the stand and both pivot and rotate at the shade. Therefore, the lamp can be placed in virtually any desired working position.
Made entirely of metal with aluminium shade. With steel reinforced base.
Takes one E27 light bulb with a screw fitting.
This lamp features an extra long black wire of no less than 360 centimetres. The wire has a transparent (not original) switch and a new plug.
Height in standard position: approx. 45 cm
Base diameter: 18 cm
Shade diameter: 30 cm
Mass: 2,840 grams
Used lamp with clear signs of age.
Lamp works fine and hinges sufficiently tight.
Several scratches/spots of wear and various spots on the shade and stand. The following applies to the shade: more than elsewhere in a particular spot.
Shade has minor hardly disturbing distortions and one or two small dents.
White coating inside of the shade has some small bumps in the paint and wear around the nut of the bolt.
The black coating of the base is in quite good condition: mostly pinpoints in the paint with one or two pen points and lots of fine scratches.
The chromed cover plate on top of the shade has minor distortions causing some space between this plate and the shade.
The green felt protective layer on the bottom is still present but does have rust stains from the steel plane in the base.
