The Netherlands – 10 Guilders 1824 Brussels Willem I – gold, Sch. 191.
The 10 guilder coin with Willem I was designed by engraver A.F. Michaut. The obverse shows the portrait of Willem I, looking toward the left and the text: WILLEM KONING DER NED. G.H.V.L. (Great Duke of Luxembourg). Under the portrait there's the mark of the engraver: an anchor with a Roman lamp. The reverse shows the crowned coat of arms of the Netherlands between the value indication of 10 G. Above the coat of arms is the year 1824 with in the centre room for the cross of the coat of arms. Around that is the text MUNT VAN HET KONINKRIJK DER NEDERLANDEN. On the bottom left of the coat of arms is the mint master mark, on the bottom right the mint mark. The edge is smooth and shows the text GOD ZY MET ONS.
