Rare bronze monastery bell (4 kg) with angels in relief - France - 2nd half of 20th century
In good condition, with minor signs of wear
French bronze monastery bell with mounting bracket and pull handle.
The reason this bell is special is that it is decorated with angel scenes in relief all around.
Also an angel on the wall mount.
On the top of the bell a dragon carrying the pull handle.
The clapper is graceful and solid.
This model will not be easy to find anymore.
Both for indoor and outdoor use (such as on a gate). Produces a nice and full sound.
The bronze has a beautiful old patina.
The bell is no less than 45 cm high (with handle 75 cm), 14 cm wide. Weight: approx. 4 kg.
This lot has been carefully cleaned and will be packaged with care and shipped by registered and insured mail (with track & trace code). Collection in Ridderkerk (Zuid-Holland) is also possible.
