Silver, 8.5 cm, Fair Condition
Scottish antique sterling silver mounted rams horn snuff mull dating to c.1800
The silver is not hallmarked as was common with the vast majority of these snuff mulls.
The lid decorated with silver in the form of The Scottish Thistle.
The name ' Robert Liddle' engraved to side and RL engraved to lid, most probably the original owner of the piece.
General wear can be seen, a light hairline on lids top but its cork lined below this so does not go through and a small edge nibble from the lid, light hairline on the horn but quite probably a natural occurence rather than damage.
A good looking piece which weighs 93.9g.
A hard thing to meaure byt taking the measurement from top of lid straight down it measures 85mm or 8.5cm.
Very collectable items.

Made in 1791, in magnificent order for age, nearly 230 years old.

Groetjes Albert HendrixThe description does read : Both are free from dents, one is missing its hinge pin so the lid comes off but this is easily sorted with another pin.
The item is shown clearly in the images as missing its hinge pin as well as us writing this as part of the description , kind of baffled how it would come as a surprise when you received and opened the package, I know many people do not read things through but this suggests no reading things through and also not viewing the images.
