Ca. 1930, Paris, France
A gorgeous French 1930 art deco chandelier in nickel plated solid brass or bronze.
A beautiful chandelier holding shades by Degué in clear frosted moulded-pressed glass. Degué , the company of David Guéron, opened their doors in 1926. Guéron employed the ceramist and designer Edouard Cazaux as his artistic director and head designer. In 1936 production stopped and the company finaly closed down in 1939.
The high quality fixture has nice detailed decorations to match the pattern of flowers we can see on the Degué glasses. The three panels as well as the three side-shades are signed Degue. The chandelier is 82 cm high (32-1/4") and has a diameter of 64 cm (25-3/16").
It's in excellent condition. The fixture has been replated and patinated and the chandelier is newly wired. It holds six european E14 sockets. I will wire it for the States or Japan with US candelabra base ones.
Very safe packaging. Free shipping offered. The chandelier will be shipped in two parcels.
