Cut wooden grip covered with metal and blackened iron shell.
Blade with fuller in iron, at the heel the brand ‘Manufacture d'armes de Chatellerault 1842’ and on the blade two punches near the guard one letter G. On each side of the blade Navy anchors are engraved
