A rare and beautiful silk and wool handmade Chinese Oval size rug circa 1940 measuring 220 x 167cm (7' x 5.5'). A light chocolate field decorated with floral motifs enclosed by bands of dragons in flaming lines of blue shades. This is a very decorative Chinese handmade rug, in particular, being an oval shape. There are minor areas of local wear commensurate with age and usage, otherwise in good clean condition with being professionally cleaned and washed with fringes tidied up and secured.
