Nice copy in a fifth state of 5 (with address of Mariette), on heavy laid paper, in very good condition (see the pictures).
The image depicts the apostle Andrea at the foot of the cross with two persons, one of whom is bowed to the ground, maybe his persecutors, a soldier on horseback in the background and a group of women and children attending the scene. From the heaven, small putti are waiting to welcome the Saint among the Blessed people.

Michel Corneille the Younger, was a French painter and etcher who lived and worked in Paris, working for the King of Versailles, Meudon and Fontainebleau, the decorated with frescoes many of the great churches of Paris, especially Notre-Dame, the Church of the Capuchin, and the Chapel of St. Gregory in Les Invalides.
