Gerhard Richter - paintings - 24 pages - limited exhibition catalogue (1500 copies - 21 x 27 cm
very beautiful hand-written signature by Gerhard Richter
Gerhard Richter born on February 9, 1932 in Dresden, Germany is a German painter, sculptor, and photographer. He was Professor of painting at the Düsseldorf Art Academy from 1971 to 1993. His works are the most expensive works by a living artist at the art market.
The exhibition catalogue is limited to 1500 pieces and only a few have been signed. The catalogue was printed for the exhibition “Paintings” by Gerhard Richter. The exhibition took place in new York from 5 March to 4 April 1987 in the Marian Goodman Gallery.
The catalogue contains approx. 41 art works of the exhibition, beautifully printed in colour and with description.
This catalogue with signature is hard to get on the art market and surely an enrichment for each Gerhard Richter collection.
In good condition considering the age - carefully stored
Only on the first page the adhesive has abated slightly, since the catalogue was tied too tight. The edges are bumped slightly, otherwise no damage (see pictures). The catalogue was never read, or the pages opened widely. (only gently for the photos)
