In good condition
Very fine solid bronze statue depicting three women who are gleaning ears. An ancient custom that was done by the poor after harvest when they were allowed to collect the remaining ears.
Made after the famous painting The Gleaners (Les Glaneuses) by Jean-François Millet (1814-1875) from 1857 that is also stated on the foot of the statue.
It is a nicely made piece that is in good condition and dates back to circa 1925. In addition, it has a pedestal made from two different types of marble.
Dimensions: 25 cm long x 12 cm wide x 17 cm high and it's pretty heavy. The sculpture will be sent well packaged after the auction.
