In the intriguing "Miracles of Kannon Temples"-series the landscapes in the Hiroshige-tradition are combined with the story-telling of the Kunisada-tradition, both Utagawa-school. An interesting combination of the precision of landscapes and the mythical dreams (also textual), with many details in a fine composition.
In 1844 Kunisada Utagawa (1786- 1865) took the name of his Master/teacher Toyokuni (1769-1825), and he signed his work Toyokuni. He is called Toyokuni III.
