Pair of Victorian sterling silver candlesticks in the Adam, classical revival, style of the early 1800's.
Featuring detachable sconces or drip trays, urn shape candle holders, tapered columns and spreading canted square bases all repousse, embossed and chased, decorated with ribbon swags and leaves, raised ram's heads and urns. Both candlesticks are filled at the base.
Hallmarks: Matching hallmarks are stamped on both candlestick and the removable drip trays indicating British sterling silver for the silversmiths Walter Latham & Son, Sheffield and a date code for 1900.
