Joan Blázquez, a real character if there ever was one. An artist from head to toe, insatiable gladiator "on sand". Charismatic, innovative, original in his work but, above all, an art addict, an enthusiast of sculpture and jewellery in their creative aspect.
An impeccable artist with his timeless work; a renowned business that remains free of influences and indifferent to temporary fashion; a personal style with occasional "winks at" baroque sculpture and to Gaudi's brilliant modernist and tributary architecture.
Creator of a work cared to the smallest detail, with the aim to reach the public around the world.
Joan Blázquez was born on April 5, 195O, in Tarragona; middle male sibling from a large and humble family of Salamanca origin, rooted in the ancient heart of a city that today is designated as a World Heritage Site.
He grows up close to the imposing Gothic Cathedral, his eyes are accustomed to contemplate art at every corner, and at the early age of 14, he enters as an apprentice in a goldsmithing workshop where he was seduced forever by the jewellery world.
Only a year later, and despite the obvious difficulties of such an endeavour, he settles by his own means in a modest workshop, where he performs his first works. Developing a sculptural-based personal technique, he should be considered as a true self-taught sculptor-jeweller.
Recognition at European level begins soon; on two occasions, he is awarded with the highest distinction by the Conseil Europeen d'Art et d'Esthetique de Bruxelles, in its 20th edition; he receives the "Medaille de Vermeil" with the Commandeur degree, awarded by the Association Royale des Artistes Professionnels de Belgique.
That same year, he performs different orders for Tarragona's public entities, both of official and popular character, which are incorporated to the cultural heritage of his hometown.
Subsequently, he exhibits several times in Barcelona, along with the national great jewellers and, for the first time, in New York, on Fifth Avenue itself, where he got a great reception on the part of specialised critics. Due to the exhibition is the order of the well-known financial multinational Merril Lynch, with headquarters in Wall Street, to make a sculpture inspired by its logo and a series of pieces commemorating the company's anniversary.
In the 1990s, he becomes promoter and founder of the goldsmithing first school-workshop in Cuba: he opens a first centre in Havana and a second with headquarters in Trinidad, with the aim of promoting the academic training of this artistic discipline, unavailable until then in the Caribbean Island.
There have been multiple work proposals in different countries, although to date, Joan Blázquez has ignored the siren's songs, true to his desire of remaining on Mediterranean shore where his roots and his source of inspiration are.

Joan Blázquez is today a fully consolidated artist, with a long and recognised professional career throughout the world; he designs and creates his original works and, once each work is finished, he exhibit them in his own establishments. Icon of timeless jewellery, he has contributed with his imprint to the creative watchmaking, because of having designed his own piece of jewellery-watches collection in more than 80 different models; the watch model Commandeur stands out greatly, impressing piece equipped with mechanisms allowing to see its functioning, and small details that personalise it and differentiate it from previous watches.
Joan Blázquez, the Mediterranean creativity dressed in gold.

The photos were taken by me and belong to the exact handbag that you received. Nude color is subtle and difficult to photograph, but if you look at all the pictures you can see that the handbag is not white. It was also clearly stated in the description of the item to avoid misunderstandings.

Since you were given the opportunity to cancel the purchase and you refused it, I assume that you are satisfied with the item."
