Hardback in brown cloth binding with photo-illustrated dust jackets. Volume 1 with micro-fiche sheets with 732 photos (reduced 24:1) reproduced on nine fiches, volume 2 with micro-fiche sheets with 622 photos and maps reproduced on eight fiches. The volumes contain texts, reports, interviews, photo captions, and bibliography. Over 1300 images are contained on the 17 micro-fiche cards.
These text-fiche volumes provide over 1300 documentary photographs made by Dorothea Lange during the Great Depression in the United States between 1935 and 1939. The photos include images of migratory workers of the Southwest and the Northwest, the sharecroppers and tenant farmers of the Deep South, and the streets of New York and San Francisco.
The books themselves are in very fine condition with only minor shelf wear to dust jackets.
