Ca. 1930, Stoke-on-Trent
Empire Porcelain Works is the name of the company and Beverly is the name of the pattern.
The Empire Porcelain Company was founded in 1896 in Stoke-on-Trent and closed its doors in 1967. My estimation is that the "Beverly" service is from the 1930s, see below.
This highly decorative service, which will look beautiful on a festive table or in a display cabinet, is from my grandparents' inheritance (in the meantime I have become a grandparent myself). Before the 1930s they were wealthy, independent entrepreneurs but when the crisis kicked in they became poor and didn't have the money to buy a service like this.
Below follows a detailed list with all the shortcoming that are to be expected from a service as old as this one, although there are a lot of intact items as well.
12 plates of which 2 with crackle (diameter: 25.5 cm)
12 soup plates in perfect condition (diameter: 25.5 cm)
11 dessert plates of which 2 with crackle (diameter: 20.5 cm)
1 soup tureen in perfect condition
1 pot with lid with crackle (mainly on the inside)
1 oval dish with crackle (minor) (diameter: 33.5 cm)
1 round dish, perfect (diameter: 27.5 cm)
1 deep dish with a minor crack (diameter: 24.5 cm)
1 saucière with a nearly invisible crack
This service has a beautiful colour and pattern; your guests will time and again compliment you with your beautifully set table, as I have very often experienced.

Please note: some elements on this page have been translated automatically.Zeer positief. De heer Mahieu heeft zeer veel moeite gedaan om de drieluik zo goed mogelijk te verpakken. Toch een beschadiging.
Breng het morgen weg voor reparatie. Ben er heel tevreden mee.
Please note: some elements on this page have been translated automatically.pakket leek goed ingepakt, maar helaas was de hand van de dame afgebroken. Jammer...Please note: some elements on this page have been translated automatically.
