Manual cast iron bread cutter by the brand Brot-Max. 
This model was produced around 1950 in Germany. 
The colour is black. 
Still looks very good! Wood shows signs of wear and tear. The knife has obtained a beautiful patina over the years. See the photos for the quality. 

Beware! The knife is like a razor knife, very sharp!  

You can cut bread, vegetables, cheese but also fruit with it due to the extreme sharpness!
