Bronze statue representing Molière, after the famous statue in plaster of the Salon of 1878, by Albert-Ernest CARRIER de BELLEUSE (Albert-Ernest Carrier de Belleuse said CARRIER-BELLEUSE, French sculptor, 1824-1887).
Chiselled bronze with brown patina, old cast of late 19th century, signed intaglio on the base "A CARRIER." with founder stamp "E COLIN & Cie Paris" (1882-1898).
Originally fixed on a circular base.
Total height 25.5 cm - Base diam. 12.5 cm - weight 4.070 kg.
Very good condition: no shocks, no scratches or wear of patina, or deformation of the base.
