Well preserved book with culinary notions on eating well, as well as numerous recipes.
In the work is given in the first place some information on the foods of ancient populations, an in-depth survey on substances such as sugar, starch, animal and plant rubber.
An entire chapter is devoted to animal products and another entirely to the plant world, with numerous recipes for preparations; here is a focus on the preparation of food such as mushrooms and truffles, chocolate, tea and coffee, as well las treats and sweets.
At the end of the work there is a whole chapter on culinary chemistry, stimulating preparations and various flavourings.
