In a generally good condition - 55 cm in height
This nice bronze plaque with the Holy Heart of Jesus is from a church and was made by Charles Pillet (1869-1960), a French engraver and sculptor. Pillet was a student of Henri-Michel-Antoine Chapu and Jules-Clément Chaplain. He won the first 'Grand Prix de Rome' for engraving medallions in 1890.
It has a height of 55 cm and a width of 42 cm.
Handmade. The depiction of Jesus is cast in bronze. The (likely later) frame is made of wood, topped with old leather that was stamped in a gold colour by hand.
