Boris O'Klein was a Russian-born painter and illustrator best known for his humorous cartoons of The Dirty Dogs of Paris. O'Klein also created more traditional and realistic paintings of animals under the pseudonym Jean Herblet. Born on 26 September 1893 in Moscow, Russia, his family emigrated to Alsace, France, when he was little. The artist died in 1985 in Paris, France.
