This Philips radio device type BX330A is marketed in 1953 and has a lovely brown red bakelite cabinet with a specially designed for front with old-gold tones and has a beautiful glass station names scale (so no scratches).
The rounded cabinet shapes also give the device an attractive look. Because of the powerful speaker, this radio device has a beautiful, full sound.
This device has three bands, being LW, MW and SW. There are also possibilities for connecting an external gramophone and extra speaker. Also, tone control is controllable by a separate controller. The tube setting is: ECH81, EBF80, EBC41, EL84 en EZ80.
The device has been fully checked and restored where needed, in playing condition and plays on all wavebands. The unit also has a built-in ferrite antenna. The device is set to 220V - 50 Hz with the power supply.
There may be some (light) signs of wear on the device, but these are not distracting. The original price at the time was Hfl 169,=.
Dimensions: 375x274x176 mm. The weight is approx. 6 kg.
Because of the vulnerability, it is preferable to pick up the device in Amersfoort, NL. All shipping is properly packaged, and sent by registered and insured mail.
