Ancient hand-drum or “Kundu”, collected at the mouth of the Sepik River. With typical tribal engravings from the region of the lake MURIK.
Ancient, traditional and particularly aesthetic instrument. The Kundu symbolise the voices of the ancestors, therefore they are sacred.
Wonderful patina of wear and age.
Wear due to age and use. The drum skin is missing. There are visible erosions on the bottom of the drum. Cracks due to the age. With some missing pieces and chips, most of them are visible on the pictures.
