This vehicle has been with the same owner since the 90s and has been renovated by the owner in conjunction with a classic car workshop at great expense. All electronic equipment such as the electric windows, windscreen wipers and pop-up headlights are fully functional. The engine was completely overhauled in the 90s. All repairs and original parts are fully documented. Receipts and invoices are available. Since being restored, all maintenance and repair work has been carried out by a classic car workshop. The car has been driven, maintained and there is no outstanding maintenance work. The Alfa is stored in a heated garage and is only moved on special occasions when the weather is nice and dry. The car was professionally and completely repainted in Ferrari red during its restoration in the 90s. An additional circuit breaker for the car battery was fitted to prevent the battery draining.
This car is a true gem, because original and unmodified Montreals are an absolute rarity.
The owner is selling the car due to his age.

Wikipedia entry on Alfa Romeo Montreal: As a study in design by Marcello Gandini (head of design at Bertone), the car was first showcased in 1967 at Expo 67 in Montreal. The exhibition location resulted in the car’s name. The exterior was of immediate interest to experts with the result that mass production was decided on. The headlights partially covered by the slatted cover are an especially striking detail. The covers fold downward as soon as the headlights are switched on.
We would advise that you view the car before placing a bid. Please contact Catawiki to arrange an appointment.
