So called Parisian trumpets, with a brace for wearing on the head, hands-free
This so called Parisian trumpet (ear trumpet) had an advantage over other aids, such as hand-held ear trumpets, as they could be worn on the head by means of a brace/headband, leaving the hands free. The trumpets were made of tortoiseshell plastic, probably artificial horn or caseine plastic. They are attached to each other by means of a brace or head band that can easily be attached.
The brace that comes with the trumpet is from a later period than the trumpets. Dates approximately from 1920.
The ear trumpets are in good condition, no cracks, minimal wear.
